Welcome to the Senior Doberman Project (SDP)

Special Needs Dobermans and the The Doberman Digest recognize the difficulty in placing aging Dobermans in loving homes. Doberman rescue groups are working tirelessly to save and care for these precious creatures, and we would like to help find them forever homes.

Our goal is to create maximum exposure to facilitate placement of available seniors through publication in Doberman Digest in addition to online state-by-state listings with information as close to "real time" as possible, including links to existing rescue sites.

Please tell us about your senior Dobes in rescue! There is now an easy online form for you to use - click on the Add Your Senior link to he left. We will add your information to the state-by-state listings in our effort to create awareness for our senior friends. If you would like to send us suggestions or questions, email us at seniors@doberman911.org. Please add a link to this site on your website, if you have one. Let us know if you do, so we can add a link back to yours! This exposure will draw attention to the SDP seniors, and more importantly, create exposure for your seniors needing forever homes. So please list your seniors with us, so that we can help give them the additional exposure they deserve!

Sponsor A Senior!!

The Senior Doberman Project is proud to announce the launching of the Sponsor A Senior program! This is a great way for people to help seniors but don't have the ability to adopt one. The funds raised will help people rescuing and fostering Dobes to pay for food, medicine, vet needs, and anything else needed to help make a Senior Dobe happy and healthy! Please read more about this program at the Sponsor A Senior page!

Senior of The Week!

February 1, 2012 through February 11, 2012

Meet Miss Cayenne!!

What?? Did you say dinner was going to be late?!!

I also need a sponsor!!

Gorgeous 7 year-old Cayenne came to rescue when her owner passed away. She is great with other dogs, both large and small but takes a while to warm up to them to play. She adores people and is eager to pay with them right away. In her previous home she lived with a cat and did fine but does enjoy chasing them on occasion. She is excellent in the home and does not require crating but she likes her crate and can be found there taking her naps. She has a sparse coat but has been tested and there is no medical reason for this so it is thought to be genetic. If you're looking for a Doberman companion you couldn't do better than this adorable and spunky Senior girl. To learn more about Cayenne visit her page at http://doberman911.org/seniors/cases/il_cayenne.html.

You can learn more about Miss Cayenne and many other Seniors who need your support by going to http://www.doberman911.org/seniors/cases. Here you can also help Doberman rescues across the country with their Seniors by sponsoring a Senior Doberman for $40 per month or $480 per year. Our goal is to encourage Rescues to take in more Seniors by helping them with the day to day expenses for routine medical care or just extras like nice comfy beds and toys to make their golden years the best yet. It's a great way to honor the life's of these older Dobermans, many of whom never knew love or care during their younger years.

If you have any questions about Miss Cayenne or any of our other beautiful Seniors, please email us at seniors@doberman911.org. Thank you for your support!!

Tell us About Your Senior Dobe!

Do you have a senior Dobe in need of rescue? SDP would like to know! You can use the Add Your Senior link to the left to fill out our online form, or download the virus-free form and email it to us. The more senior Dobes we know about, the more we can help!
