Meet Miss Sage!!

Did I hear someone say "diet and exercise"??  Ok, I'm game!

J9’s Doberman & Bunny Rescue heard about a red Doberman being advertised on Social Media as being given away or euthanized by her owner if someone didn’t take her ASAP.  Their volunteers sprang into action and brought her into their rescue.   Additionally, they were about to successfully remove a second dog in the home and they are being fostered together.  The two housemates are overjoyed to be reunited.  Sage is 40 lbs overweight and has severe fur loss on her back. She was clearly cared for early in her life but in recent years her care has dwindled with her obesity, poor coat condition, and extremely long nails.  She also has evidence on her back from some past trauma to her back based on the scars seen there.  Sage is a lovely girl who is full of love for everyone she encounters.   She also gets along well with children, dogs, and even cats in her foster home. Sage is following a stringent diet and workout regimen to return her to a healthy weight.

Special Needs If Any:  None once her weight is normal.

Geographic Adoption Area:  Within a 3 hour radius of Detroit for a perfect home.
