Mr. Alex - that's short for Alexander... the GREAT!!
you let me show YOU just how GREAT??"
lived in Georgia for 9 years until his mom passed away and
shortly after that his dad went into a nursing home. The
family called animal control to remove him from the house
but animal control knew of a local woman who could help
get him into rescue up north because Dobes and southern
animal controls aren't a good match. The nice lady took
care of him for a few weeks and called IDR after closer
rescues couldn't take a Senior who needed heartworm treatment.
IDR had a volunteer going to GA in a few weeks so he hung
out with the nice lady a few weeks until his transport was
ready. Alex lived with a large female dog in his first home
and was around other animals in his temporary foster home.
However he was scared when assessed with cats so it's unclear
how he really feels about them. He is now safe with IDR
and will go straight to the vet to begin his heartworm treatment
but after that will be good as new.
