Sweet 7 year old Archie was pulled by rescue from a shelter with a swollen paw that had necrotic tissue and maggots on the wound so they got him to their vet as soon as they could.  It’s believed the wound on his foot was caused by a snake bite or some other trauma.  The vet believes the best treatment at this point will be to amputate his leg because it’s clear the injury happened some time ago.  The good news is he is in pretty good shape considering how infected his foot was and he remains a sweet loving boy who deserves a loving home for the rest of his days. .
