Meet Sweet Sable!!

YEPPERS!!  This IS heaven!!

Beautiful 7 year old Sable was left behind when her owner passed away and her daughter came to clean out the house but just left Sable behind. As she put it “it’s not my dog” and left her on the back deck for the realtor to find. Construction workers were coming to the house for renovations and they kept Sable company with their personal dogs and kids. Otherwise she was left alone until the realtor saw her. The realtor called a vet tech friend who was a dobie owner herself, and she is the one who reached out to Bluegrass Doberman Rescue. Being left out without much care Sable is heartworn positive and has some dental issues that need to be addressed. Now that she is safe and being cared for and is working on learning her new name. She has the sweetest temperament, is good with other dogs and kitties, is house and crate trained but like any dobie she prefers to be with her people. She has settled in with a foster family who have never had a dobie before and she is the perfect “starter dobe” so they can learn how sweet and wonderful this breed is!

Special Needs If Any:  She is being treated for heartworms and will be ready for adoption after her treatment with no known special needs.

Geographic areas you adopt to:  Kentucky and surrounding states and will adopt outside that area if a home visit can be arranged and the people are willing to travel to meet the Dobe in their foster home.
