Violet!
Meet
Miss Violet!!

Not
all Violets are BLUE!
I'm a happy RED Violet!!

HEYYYY!!
I'm not FAT, I'm Big Boned :))!
Violet
came to Bella and Sunshine Rescue’s attention by way of
social media. Despite having a large ulcerating mass on her side
she was adorable, wiggly, and vey boop-ey. The shelter removed
the mass because of the ulceration but did not send it to pathology
so it is unknown if it was cancerous. She arrived to rescue grossly
overweight at 102 lbs and it was apparent she had severe pneumonia.
She had been started on antibiotics by the shelter but rescue’s
vet changed them and she started improving. Six months later Violet
is still overweight and is now showing signs of symmetrical alopecia.
The vet suspects she has Cushing's since all the blood markers
are there but final tests are pending. Once she is health-cleared
she will be available for adoption. She is super chill and good
with both kids and other dogs. .
