Rex
is a senior Doberman who survived two days past his euthanasia
date in a Southern California shelter that has one of the highest
kill rates in the state. If a dog so much as sneezes they are
put on the euthanasia list. He was picked up as a stray wandering
the streets most likely dumped. He has a slab fracture on his
teeth with lots of tartar, massive pressure ulcers on both hips,
hair loss from a flea infestation, nuclear sclerosis on one eye,
and probably bad hips as he’s “slouching” a
bit on his back leg. Why anyone would dump such a sweet dog is
hard to imagine. He is the chillest boy in the world and tolerated
ear cleaning and nail clipping standing there like a proper gentleman.
He will be completely evaluated by a vet and his issues addressed.
His foster day says he isn’t potty trained, has old scars
all over him, and soaks up love like he’s never had it before.
