Rescue: Gulf Coast Doberman Rescue

Pascal is a 12 year-old dobergent who was rescued, literally, as he was being lead into the euthanasia room at a local shelter. Dumped at a local shelter because his owners reported he was ill and they could no longer care for him. a volunteer saw him and was able to delay the procedure long enough to call Terri with Gulf Coast Doberman Rescue. She said yes, bring him to me without knowing what his medical issues might be. When their vet saw him they could see on his x-rays that his lungs were cloudy. Fearing lung cancer but hoping for pneumonia, he was placed on antibiotics and has improved. He will see the vet again for a more definite diagnosis but he is coughing less so everyone has their fingers crossed. He is also on pain management for his severe arthritis. In-spite of all his troubles, Pascal is a happy boy who is grateful for his rescue and determined to prove he may be old but he is not ready to leave this world. He gets along beautifully with the other male dogs in his foster home and almost runs on his daily walks. Simply put "he is a joy".

Special needs: Pascal is not up for adoption as he is has been through so much and his foster mom is happy to keep him the remainder of his life.
