Optimus is a very nice blue 9-year-old and 78-pound gentleman from the south. Optimus came up to us through the awesome Doberman Assistance Network (DAN). Unfortunately, it was no surprise that he was heartworm positive, but he received treatment and recovered in a wonderful foster home. Like most older blue Dobes, his fur is a tad thin – but that’s okay! Less fur means less vacuuming! He is a calm dude who just wants a cozy place to lay his head and take a snooze. Optimus is completely housebroken and fully trusted in the house alone. He is also crate-trained. Optimus is a sweet and gentle snugglebutt. He is not a fan of kitties, but he is fine with other dogs after a slow intro. He has no history with kids, but he seems gentle enough for kids 7 and up.
