Have you ever heard the phrase, He has a really nice personality, though"? You know then and there what that means. It means he is not going to be the most attractive guy. Well...our new senior guy Duke is that guy. He was picked up as a stray and thought to be about 7 years old. He has quite a few lumps and bumps but who doesn't? A bit of hip dysplasia, but that doesn't keep him from enjoying life. Duke has a wonderful personality. He is great with all the dogs he has met, both large and small. Didn't seem to mind the meowing cats in the crates next to him for the long 2 hour ride so my guess is cats are okay too. He seems to be completely housebroken, is mild mannered and great in the car.
