Michelle Carlson of Recycled Dobermans was notified about a 7-8 mo old Doberman (Zeus) that had a corn cob obstruction that the woman was just going to PTS. After the vet tech at the animal clinic talked to the Animal Rescue League, she called Michelle and begged for help. Michelle called me asking if SND could assist. Her personal vet (who is willing to take payments) scheduled the surgery. Zeus is a VERY nice boy though he 'woke up' enough to show his prey drive at the animal clinic as far as cats go but he's been great w/ Michelle's 3 yr old (she's not introducing him to the dogs until after he's more up to it). He's b/t, c/d - unneutered and at least had a rabies tag. Michelle says that he was flea infested and he's WAYYYY too skinny - and that didn't occur in the last few days so it's better he's in rescue. Zeus will be neutered as soon as he is strong enough to go through the surgery.
