Meet Mr. Wolfy!!

Can you resist this face??  He's hoping you can't!!

So you say you want to see me fly??

Up, Up and AWAY!! Nothing will slow me down!!

Meet Herr Wolfgang (aka Wolfy... :)! This young (1 year old ?) Red DobeDude found himself in a shelter in Southern California. He had presumably been hit by a car, and was listed in the shelter as a "stray." Wolfy's left rear leg was broken, but the shelter did not have an x-ray machine. After Wolfy's holding period was over, the shelter called Dobies & LIttle Paws Rescue, knowing that the folks there would help Wolfy. And sure enough, the rescue came through, and Wolfy found himself at the office of Veterinarian Angel, Dr. Christopher Frier. Dr. Frier realized that Wolfy's leg could not be saved; the injury had occurred 2 or three weeks prior and too much damage had been done while Wolfy waited at the shelter -- no doubt in much pain --  the required time, in case of a possible owner reclaim. So, Wolfy's leg was amputated. But! Dr. Frier knew of a family with another Tripod Doberman, and Wolfy found his new family and Forever Home!

Angels come in all shapes, sizes and species! Thank you, Dr. Frier and Dobie Rescue, and Wolfy's new humans. Wolfy is well on his way to a great new life - see above!! But, Wolfy's medical expenses were very costly, and Dobies & Little Paws Rescue, like all rescues, has limited funding with maximum dogs-in-need, and they need help with Wolfy's bills! You can help by making a tax deductible donation in Wolfy's name by clicking on the PayPal button below. Or, a donation can be sent by mail. No amount is ever too small, and EVERY penny sent to Special Needs Dobermans goes to help the Dobes-in-Need. Thank you so much for your continued support and compassion.

Help Wolfy!!
