Vince is an adorable 8 month old Doberman puppy. He began his life in a puppy mill and wound up at a pet store at 6 weeks of age, and stayed there until he was 4 months old! He lived with his first owner for 4 months until he jumped out of the car window and injured his leg. The owner turned him into rescue because she did not want to pay the vet bill, and now he is with Brenda Borelli of Las Vegas Doberman Pinscher and Doxie Rescue. Brenda took him to several vets for a diagnosis (the original x-rays were inconclusive), and it was finally determined that he will need a femoral head osteoectomy. Brenda had difficulty in finding a vet who was reasonably priced and willing to work with payments, so I suggested that she consult with our Vice President, Nina Armstrong. Nina came through with flying colors, and not only found a vet, but negotiated an excellent discount. The vet rushed Vince in for surgery immediately. The prelimary reports show the surgery to be a success, and Vince will soon be able to go home for for 7-10 days of crate rest, then light exercise. No rippin' & rompin' with other dogs for at least 3 weeks. A picture of Vince following his surgery is shown below. Now SND needs your help to pay for his surgery, and assist with Vince's recovery. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to help Vince. It can be mailed in, or you can use the PayPal button to the left to send help online. We appreciate anything you can do!
