Tyra!

Tyra is a super sweet 3 month old red girl whose owners let roam free. Being a typical puppy she naively bounced herself up to a chained-out neighborhood dog. The result is the stuff nightmares are made of...she became wrapped in his chain. One leg was horribly mangled. She also suffered many bites from the other dog as they fought to free themselves from each other. The owners didn't want the responsibility of her care any longer and turned her over to South West Ohio Doberman Rescue who promptly got her medical care. She required extensive surgery to repair her wounds and to begin the process of saving her leg.

As the vet was repairing Tyra's leg he noticed something not quite right about it and she was transferred to a specialist who found a bone infection. By the chance of her accident the bone infection was caught early and successfully removed. Through all she has endured in the 12 weeks of her life she has remained very sweet and loving, kissing her care givers during bandage changes. Her foster mom says she is very much people oriented, wanting to be where her people are and bringing a real joy de vive into any room with her. She has one ear with a personality of it's own, almost like her own exclamation point and is healing well while she waits for her forever home. Please help little Tyra make it to the happy tomorrow she so deserves.
