Storm

Storm is a handsome young Doberman, rescued from the county shelter about
4 weeks ago by
Hand Me Down Dobes in Columbus, OH. He was soon diagnosed
with Wobblers and showed a heart murmur due to endocardiosis (not DCM).
Storm's foster mom, Diane Ott, is a senior vet student at Ohio State
University. She arranged for surgery there, receiving a 20% vet student
discount, and no charge for the implant.
Dr. Dyce, a leading orthopedic surgeon, had time to fit Storm in on
November 6, so Hand Me Down Dobes authorized the surgery, as they did not
want to see the condition worsen. Storm is on the road to recovery from
his surgery and the prognosis looks very good. Diane says that he doesn't
realize there is anything wrong with him and the hardest part is keeping
him quiet for 6 weeks of crate rest!
The total amount for surgery after the discount is $2,355.27. Hand Me
Down Dobes has paid $500 so far, bringing the balance owed to $1855.27.
They have asked for our assistance in fundraising, as attempting to absorb
the cost of the surgery will be very draining for the rescue. You can
mail us a donation or use the

for Storm. We thank you for any help that you can offer.
