Meet Shanna!

Shanna is a beautiful and friendly 8 year old black and tan Doberman living in
Lindenhurst, NY. She shares her home with "mom", Nancy and "brother", pit bull
rescue, Max. Shanna was recently diagnosed with a synovial cell sarcoma on
her right front wrist. After having a biopsy and bloodwork done, x-rays were scheduled
for Shanna's 8th birthday, June 14 to determine if she would be a good candidate
for surgery. Thankfully Shanna's Shanna's heart, lung, and pulminary x-rays
were clear. The vet strongly recommends amputation to insure that the cancer
does not spread. Surgery is scheduled for June 25. You can see more pictures of
the lovely Shanna in her picture album, linked below.
Nancy, Shanna's owner was unemployed for over a year following September 11, and
is struggling to get back on her feet. She cannot afford the surgery to save
her precious Shanna's life. Please help by making a donation toward her surgery and
recovery. You can help by mailing in
a tax-deductible donation, or you can use the PayPal button below to donate online.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
