Just look at the adorable face of Lady Sarah. Isn't she beautiful? Do her soulful eyes just grab your heart? We don't know much about this Dobiegirl's past, but what we do know is she has spent her entire nine years living outside, devoid of love and receiving only minimal human contact. Her only worth then was to be a "breeder dog." Sarah was used relentlessly to give birth to litter after litter after litter of puppies, all without ever receiving even the most basic of veterinary care. When she developed huge mammary tumors and could no longer be bred, her owner saw her as useless and wanted her gone.
Luck
finally came Sarah's way when she went into rescue at Illinois Doberman Rescue.
Pam and the angels of IDR knew Sarah deserved a life better than she had been
given. They worked quickly to get her to safety, then immediately whisked her
to the vet for a full examination. Thanks to IDR, Sarah finally received the
medical care she not only needed, but most definitely deserved. The tumors were
removed via mastectomies and she was given tons of healing TLC along with good
food and a nice soft bed to sleep in - poor little Sarah had never known such
luxury existed. This was heaven for sure!
Sarah is now a happy and loving girl. Her surgical wounds are healing , but
we need to help IDR's funds heal as well so they can continue assisting future
Dobes in need.
