Samson

Samson is a 2.5 year old neutered male Doberman living in Fort Collins, CO, with the Cacciatore family. Here is a portion of the email that SND received from Christy Cacciatore requesting assistance for Samson:

"Hello. My name is Christy and a proud owner of a red Doberman. Samson is a 2 1/2 yr. old neutered male. He is one of my boys. Samson has had a rough 2 yrs. Last yr. he had a freak accident and broke a leg. He had to be in a cast for 4 months. We put all our savings into fixing his leg. The last 2 mornings he has woken up not feeling great. He had thrown up a couple of times and was not eating. I thought maybe it was from the heat. Poor guy was not his playful self so we took him to his vets at Moore Animal Hospital located in Ft. Collins, CO. Unfortunately he was dehydrated and has an obstruction in his bowel. We had decided to wait and see if it will pass in the am. With our financial situation we can't afford surgery right now. With my 2 boys in daycare for the summer, a husband who is a full time student and cost of living here we have no money to do the surgery. It breaks my heart that Samson maybe in pain and I financially can't afford the expenses. My family would be heart broken if we lost him. I hate asking for help, but we are in need."

SND was happy to be able to assist with the downpayment for Samson's obstruction surgery, but now Samson needs all of our help to cover the remainder of his bill for surgery and aftercare.
