Meet Miss Prada!!

A stylish little lady ready for a trip down the runway in her original Pink PRADA!!

Carried around and adored like the Precious Princess she is!!

Prada is a gorgeous Fawn DoberPuppy. This sweet sweet little girl was only about 2-1/2 months old when it was discovered, by her owner, that Prada had a big problem: rectal prolapse! Her owner could not afford the corrective surgery, so she chose to surrender Prada to her local shelter. The shelter contacted Ardis Braun of Dobies and Little Paws Rescue, and Ardis, though concerned and reluctant to take more dogs into her care due to a serious lack of money, did just that. She brought this fawn bundle of innocence and sweetness to her favorite veterinarian, Dr. Christopher Frier, who performed his magic on our sweet baby. Dr. Frier decided that Prada's problem was reversible, and he he performed a "Purse String" on Ms. Prada. This procedure uses a suture or two around the rectal opening to allow normal bowel movements and keep the dog's insides inside!

Prada had found a foster home, but at about the same time as her surgery, her foster person had undergone her own medical procedure, and could not take care of a DoberPuppy. Ardis found another foster home, where Prada is currently recuperating. On Tuesday, November 15, Prada's sutures were removed, and we are happy to report that this adorable girl is reported to be doing well. She is on a special diet for the next half a year, and the prognosis is POSITIVE!

Even though Dr. Frier is a Dober Angel, and always helps Dobies Rescue, Prada's surgery is expensive. Dobies and Little Paws Rescue is full to maximum with dogs, but empty of funds. You can help by making a donation to Miss Prada's Fund either with the PayPal button below, or by mailing in your financial support. No amount is ever too small. We thank you and appreciate your continued support for our wonderful Dobes-in-Need.
