List Of SNDobes Helped

Dobes helped from October - December, 2005

Thanks for taking a moment to read about some of the Doberman lives SND has been fortunate enough to help. The links below will take you to the pages that contain pictures and stories about our SNDobes. The stories have been split up into separate pages to make them easy to download (that's good, it means we have helped lots of Dobes!). Please remember to read our Currently In Need page for Dobes that need help now (there are Dobes there that will come to this list when we're done helping them).

Chip
November, 2005

Chip is an adorable four month old red puppy with the greatest 'Flying Nun' ears! He has NOT had a happy life so far - dumped by his owners because he had a deformed arm, he recently underwent surgery to remove the arm after it broke. As if that wasn't enough, it was discovered that he also has Parvo. We think the deadly virus was caught early enough, but he needs to stay in quarantine while it is being treated. You can learn more by visiting Chip's Page!

Peaches
November, 2005

Peaches is a lovely 10 year old fawn girl living in Massachusetts. Peaches has reached an age where changes are happening. She is not retaining her weight as she did, she is not as active and does have some skin problems. She also is not finishing her food which is uncommon for her and she is starting to display some joint issues. Her owners cannot afford the diagnostics and bloodwork to determine what is happening to her. You can learn more by visiting Peaches' Page!

Christine now needs to find out whether or not Senta has any other indications of cancer - surrounding areas and/or lungs. Senta is her soul Dobe and the thought of losing her is devastating. Christine lives on a very limited income and cannot afford the necessary bloodwork and x-rays that Senta needs. You can learn more by visiting Senta's Page.

Jake II
November, 2005

Jake II is a sweet 7 year old guy who was turned into a shelter in Texas. His family moved from Florida knowing that the dog was hurt. They even refused treatment in Fl. Thankfully, he wound up in the care of the good folks at Doberman Rescue Group - Oklahoma. Jake is currently being fostered in one of their Texas foster homes. They have no idea what happened to him prior to coming into rescue, but he has an old hip injury and possible detached achilles tendon. Shortly after arriving, Jake's foster mom realized that he was not well. It was determined that he is not processing his urine, and the vets are thinking that he may have Lepto. You can learn more about this sweet boy by visiting Jake II's Page!

Bruiser
December, 2005

Bruiser is a "young and energetic" 8 year old Doberman who recently got loose from his owner and was hit by a car. He suffered a femoral fracture and then re-injured himself jumping out of his pen! Thanks to some concerned people, this sweet boy was able to get the help he needed. He is being fostered with Delaware Valley Doberman Pinscher Assistance (DVDPA), and still has a long road to recovery in front of him. We need your help with this sweet boy's treatment so he can be a healthy, happy and loved boy for a long time to come! You can learn more about him by visiting Bruiser's Page!

Remington
December, 2005

Remington was a wonderful six year old boy in the care of the great people at Southwest Ohio Doberman Rescue. After spending his life tied up outside, he luckily found his way to SWODR. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with Wobblers and spondylosis! Gold bead implant surgery was performed by Dr. Durkes in Indiana and his prognosis initially looked good. Unfortunately, the gold bead transplants did not take as well as hoped and he eventually succumbed to the Wobbler's disease. Take heart in knowing that he was much loved and well cared for in his last months of life. We send our thanks to our friends at SWODR for taking care of this boy and making sure he did not die alone and afraid. Please visit Remington's Page to learn more about this darling Dobe..
