Anyone can recognize the biggest, brightest constellation in the night sky: Orion, The Hunter! One can easily spot Orion’s belt and possibly his sword. But broken bones and a cast aren’t part of that image, and they shouldn’t be part of this sweet Dobe-boy’s image either! Poor little Orion has already had one surgery to pin the two broken bones in his right leg into place. He still needs a second surgery to remove the pins before he can start down the road to recovery. Two surgeries in the first three months of life is something we all wish no Dobe-baby had to go through.
Susan runs an outstanding rescue organization, Doberman Pinscher SOS, in Tehachapi, California. With Susan’s loving care there’s no doubt that Orion will be back on his feet enjoying puppyhood in short order. Susan rotates more than forty dogs in her care, while several more waiting for an opening to become available. As you can probably imagine, the cost of helping so many dobes is staggering. Orion is just one of many Dobe-kids for which Susan has had to provide extensive veterinary care. With vet bills mounting and an endless stream of dobes that need her help, Susan needs all the assistance that SND and you can possibly give her to keep her marvelous sanctuary afloat - these Dobes are constantly rehomed as quickly as possible - when just the right DobeFolks apply!! Let's make sure Susan can always be there for these Dobes!!
