Logan

Logan is a beautiful 3 year old Doberman in Marietta, GA. She lives with her "mom", Lisa, and doberbrother, Lex. On February 18, Logan collapsed and was taken to the vet. It was determined that she had an intestinal obstruction, and was rushed into emergency surgery, where it was determined that she has swallowed a sock! Three feet of her intestines had to be removed. Logan was in critical condition, her temperature plummeting to 92 degrees (102 is normal). Her vital signs were unstable, and she had to spend the night at the emergency clinic in order to get the constant care she needed to survive. Today (Feb 19) she went back to her regular vet, and began to show signs of improvement, but is still in guarded condition. Logan will have to spend yet another night in the emergency hospital. Lisa had already paid the money that she had to the emergency clinic, and did not know how she could handle another night, but she did not want to lose Logan. She contacted SND for assistance. Logan will need assistance for her emergency care, as well as the surgery with her regular vet and after care.

Logan is still not out of the woods, but the vets are now cautiously optimistic.
