Lennox!

Lennox!
Lennox is a big, handsome, and gentle Doberman that was turned in by the family who rescued him four years ago. They are moving into a new home and no longer want Lennox and the second Doberman they bought three years ago. Carol Fama of Doberman Rescue of the Triad now has both Doberboys. Unfortunately for Lennox, not only does he have an infestation of heartworms but he also won't put any weight on his hind leg. It was found that there is a tumor on the bone -- the aspiration approach yielded inconclusive results. Lennox will go to the State Vet School on 4/14 for a frozen section to determine if this is a cancerous tumor that would require removal of the leg. Carol is inundated with rescue cases and could use some financial assistance for Lennox.

Lennox is a black male with rust markings, 8 years old, weighs 105 pounds, cropped, docked, neutered, and micro-chipped. He is current on all vaccinations and presently being treated for heartworms. He is great with children, other dogs, and cats. He loves to ride in the car.

He has a very typical Doberman personality — a laid back velcro Dobe. He wants to be with his humans and is most congenial. He's eager to greet new people. His favorite pastime is watching T.V. lying in front of it with his humans. He's a wonderful dog. He loves everyone he meets and fits the description of a real gentle giant. He is quite a special Doberguy, and will make someone an extremely loyal companion for the remaining years of his life.

Cyberdobes! has taken an interest in Lennox's case and donated a grant to get his medical care started. We need your help to see that this fine dobergentlemen gets all the care that he needs and is aided in his recovery. While Lennox was under they did the analysis and determined that the growth on his leg was cancerous and the leg had to be removed. (He had not been using the leg for some time so they figured that even at his age he would still get around OK.)

The morning after the operation the vets reported that Lennox was up and about, getting used to moving around on three instead of four. Pictures from day one are right, and below. This is one brave Dobe!! He will have to go to a VERY SPECIAL HOME!!
