From "Trade-In"
at exotic pet store - to Alpha Girl in DobeHouse!!

Ssssshhh!! I'm
contemplating! Huh? Did someone say "dinner??"

Yep!! It's that
time again! Here are my Senior BFF Pack: 17 year old Remy & 9 year old Scrilla!!
Yes!!! I love that pack o' mine!!
Kiki is a loving and fun young DobeGirl who is facing a terrible battle with mast cell cancer that now has invaded her shoulder. At age three and a half, her owner noticed a pea-sized growth and had it checked immediately. Sadly, it was metastatic cancer and Kiki’s only hope is chemotherapy.
Like many families, Kiki’s family have been victims of the downturn in the economy. The challenge for them would be difficult enough, but now, it has become impossible. Still, they have decided to do all they can to keep this pretty girl alive and well, happy and playful. It is not just for her or for them. Kiki shares her home with a nine year old male Doberman, and, get this, a documented 17 year old Doberman Queen named Remy.
Three years ago, Kiki had been “traded in” to a puppy-mill pet store. She was confined to an under-size cage and covered in feces when she was “rescued” by her owner. A week later, that pet store burned and all the animals inside were killed. At home, the then 14-year-old DobeLady, Remy, had become lethargic and lazy and had seemingly lost her zest for life. That changed when she met Kiki. Her family says Kiki gave their old girl Remy a new lease on life. Playing together with their “brother” named Scrilla seems to make the years disappear as they run up and down the stairs, into the yard and then pile onto the couch for a nap together. Kiki cleans Remy’s old ears every day and they are very close.
Now, it is Kiki who needs the boost, and Remy does not want to lose her friend. Kiki is facing several rounds of expensive and difficult chemotherapy. She has shown great tolerance for the medications and the doctors say they are having a good effect and could prolong her life significantly. Of course, they are expensive. When Kiki was recently hospitalized for a short few days, Remy searched the house, was noticeably sad and even ate less. She missed her best friend. Please help Kiki and her “pack” of humans and Dobermans.
Please visit Kiki’s page to learn more about her needs. Please help in anyway that you can and thanks very much for your continued support! You can help by sending in a tax-deductible donation online by using the PayPal button to the right, or by mailing one in. No amount is ever too small!! Thank you for any assistance you can provide to help with Kiki’s veterinary expenses.
