And his favorite
ball!!

Look into my
eyes... you are getting sleepy... before you nod off, check this out!!
This is me on my own YouTube!! Jacob the
Flying Jester!!
Please take a look at this BOY! His name is Jacob, he is a black and rust beauty, weighs around 60 pounds and is just a little over one year of age. He is a beautiful boy, outside as well as inside! Jake has had a pretty nasty start in his life. He was born in a litter of six from a back yard breeder - the bane of canine overpopulation! Of the six, three were stillborn, one boy had to be euthanized due to horrible medical issues. That left Jacob and his sister who has many of her own terrible medical issues. She is in the capable hands of Wisconsin Doberman Rescue! But back to our newest boy. Jacob was born with something called Cerebellar Hypoplasia, at least we think he was born with it. Just a little about what this is: Cerebellar Hypoplasia is a disorder in dogs and cats in which the cerebellum is not completely mature at birth. They are uncoordinated, have tremors and jerky movements. Usually caused by bacterial or viral infection, malnutrition, poisoning, injury or accidents during development in the fetus. There is no treatment for this disorder and the dog will live a normal life span, and thanks to Diane Maas his foster mom and Mary Ruud from Minnesota Doberman Rescue he is doing well.
But, that is not Jacob's biggest problem at the moment. He needs surgery for a ligament problem in his knee. He is scheduled for a TPLO for Wednesday, January 18th. The surgery is expensive and so dear Jacob and Minnesota Doberman Rescue will need our help. SND & DRM the immediate cost of the surgery, but there will also be hospital charges on top of the surgery costs. We hope you will help us raise funds for these expenses! Keeping rescues solvent is important - they are the front line for helping Dobes in Need!!
Diane has been walking Jacob a couple miles a day, which has helped his balance greatly, but now with his knee pain he cannot walk far at all. Cage rest and meds for the knee have been tried without any improvement. This wonderful boy needs our help. Jacob is such a very loving boy who loves to run, jump and play with his toys until that darn squeeker is dead! Jake loves to snuggle and is a true velcro dobe ! What else is new ?! So please do what you can to help this boy to be able to run and jump again and go for his long walks with Diane! Consider donating to this sweet loving DobeBoy who has so much love to give and so much life to live. He is also available for adoption if there is someone who can give him the care and love he needs.
