Hamlet
Recently Chuck Vaile of
Doberman Rescue of Colorado rescued a "box of Dobie puppies." Of the
6 puppies all were healthy except one, Hamlet. Hamlet is a 6 week old red
male. He has a broken leg probably caused when mama accidentally stepped
on him when he was much younger. An initial evaluation shows that he has
a broken tibia fracture that has become distracted (separated) and is
twisted. This is considered even more serious since so much time has
passed. The vet has speculated that the leg will have to be wired but
that will have to be determined once they actually open the leg. Given
Hamlet's age they expect him to heal quickly and be totally recovered in
3 -4 weeks.
