Chase

Chase is a 2 year old red cropped and docked red male. He came to Hand Me Down Dobes from a southwestern Indiana dog shelter. Chase was picked up as a stray after being hit by a car. His front leg was shattered and he was suffering from a nasty infection. A good Samaritan sprang him from the shelter and transported him to Westerville East Animal Hospital, Hand Me Down Dobes' vet clinic in Columbus, late on a Saturday night. Radiographs of the leg revealed that it could not be saved and the only option for Chase was amputation due to the duration of the injury. Dr. Gonzalez and Dr. Ott worked on the sweet red boy until 3:00am, on their own time. As if this was not enough, it was also found that Chase was heartworm positive. Chase is a trooper and recuparated from the limb amputation surgery super quick. He was just recently neutered and has received his first heartworm treatment. Chase's previous life was a hard one but he is hoping at a new start on life now that Hand Me Down Dobes has given him a second chance at life. Now your help is needed to insure that his surgery and after care is taken care of.
