Meet Capo!

Capo
di tutti - Head of Everything!!

Capo & Eileen,
taken at the ER on Wednesday, April 23rd
UPDATE: The struggle to save dear Capo continues... He has shown some improvement but he is still not consistently stable on the cocktail of meds being used to try and control his cardiac symptoms. His Mom knows how critical dosing of these meds is and she must go to work so she is now taking dear Capo to the ER for daily care while she must be gone. She had to have him in safe hands during this critical time and so there is no alternative at least until he stabilizes. His prognosis is not good right now but his Mom will give him every chance as long as he is fighting along side her. His expenses are mounting as you can imagine so any support you can give this DobeMom and her DobeGent Capo would be VERY much appreciated. Eileen asks that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers every day so let's join the fight to give this brave DobeGent every chance he deserves. THANK YOU!!
Here's a story many of us have been, are or may sometime in the future be familiar with... In the words of DobeMom Eileen... "He began coughing and breathing uncomfortably in the middle of the night. I took him to the emergency vet clinic and they diagnosed him with cardiomyopathy. He had an enlarged heart and pulmonary edema." She had to leave her Capo at the hospital while he was being aggressively treated in an effort to reduce the edema. Poor Capo! He was placed on a whole gamut of carido drugs - and we all know how expensive these can be! And so, Eileen has come to SND seeking help to furnish the care Capo needs now, as well as that to come, in an effort to keep him stable and with his DobeMom who adores him, as long as possible. Eileen has carried the full brunt of the bills for initial diagnosis and treatment but she will need all of our help to keep the Capo -- in charge of everything -- mainly her heart... and we hope yours too!!
Eileen will be retiring in June and will not be able to afford the expensive course of cardio treatment and this is where you come in!!
