Meet Bullwinkle a handsome Dobergent less than 5 years young diagnosed with wobblers syndrome. As you can imagine his family and Doberbuddy Rocky are devastated and want to do what ever it takes to help him regain mobility.
Bullwinkle's story began when he woke up one morning barely able to walk. A trip to Ohio State Vet Hospital resulted in a diagnostic bill in excess of $2200, which was more than the family had in savings. After digging deep and maxing out their only credit card the family did what they could to meet the obligation and take Bullwinkle home. When they arrived home Rocky could hardly understand why Bullwinkle could no longer Dober roughhouse like they did before. Buddies for life Rocky now watches over Bullwinkle and lets him know that he cares and has is paws crossed for a speedy recovery.
Hoping to avoid a $7000 surgery bill and a less than 30% chance of walking after surgery, Bullwinkle's family began researching options to help their beloved Doberman. The family was able to identify a compassionate orthopedic vet wiling to work with them on credit for a short period of time. This was the break Bullwinkle and his family needed for the short term. Bullwinkle's orthopedic treatment plan entails weekly visits for acupuncture and manipulation, which runs $125 per visit. So far the results have been astounding and Bullwinkle is walking again; what a break through.

So now on to the hard part; how to pay for the weekly treatments, payoff the hospital bill and still put food on the table for the family. While one of Bullwinkle's owners works full time the other is on social security disability limiting his ability to help financially. It's a humbling experience to find yourself in need of financial help. I think we would all agree our Doberkids are worth every penny it takes to keep them healthy and pain free so we would all look for every way possible to get them the care that they need.
