Bria

Cindy Doyle rescued Bria, a 6 month old female Doberman off the streets of Watts, CA. She is very sweet and affectionate. She is small for her age which the vet says is due to malnutrition. Bria was initially seen by Dr. Omoto of Village Pet Clinic in Redondo Beach - the exam revealed that Bria has a broken hip -- probably hit by a car at some point in the past. Then she was seen by Dr. Schlanger of Brentair Animal Hospital and finally by Dr. Leeds (an orthopedic surgeon). Dr. Leeds says that the window of opportunity for surgery has long closed. She will need specialized nutrition, supplements, and 10 sessions of hydrotherapy to strengthen her hip - at $45 - $65 per session.

Cindy is a member of a "coalition" of individuals who do rescue in the LA area (Animals Rule Placement Foundation). They will be looking for a foster/permanent home for Bria for when she is physically ready to be placed. In the meantime, they are a small group and the hydrotherapy sessions would drain their resources.
