Breena
Breena is the second Dobe at
Second Chance Dobes that
needs our help. Like Kira, she has entropian eyelids. She is blue also, and approx
2 - 3 years of age.
The entropian eyelids on Breena are a less severe case than Kira's, but the potential
for permanent damage is still there and the condition is still painful. Breena
should only need one surgery, though,
and Dr. Karen is giving a huge discount. Unfortunately, Breena also has a very
bad case of Demodectic Mange. Dr. Karen says that it is the worst case that she
has ever had to treat, the problem is
aggravated by a secondary yeast infection in her skin. The treatment regimen
consists of medication for the yeast infection, oral ivomec, vitamin E, and daily
baths in a medicated shampoo. Dr. Karen
will apply a heavy discount to the treatment.

Great news from Sherri at Second Chance Dobes! With some love and care and good nutrition, Breena is making remarkable progress. See the 'after' pictures below! While Breena has more hair growing in her future, the difference is just amazing - great job everyone! And what beautiful eyes she has, now that you can see them clearly. Sherri says that now that Breena's coat is coming in, it is obvious that she is a black-rust Dobe and not a blue!
