Meet Miss Bella!!

UPDATE - May 20, 2010: You all remember Miss Bella, a lovely DobeGirl belonging to Lindsey and Gary. Bella was diagnosed with lymphoma last year. Her last treatment was Feb.26. She was in remission, but her remission only lasted three weeks. They tried a few different protocols elspar, lomustine and vincristine. One IV of vincristine the first day. Currently she is on lomustine, an oral chemo that she receives every three weeks. Last Tuesday was her 3rd dose and it is not working. The only drug that has had any effect was the elspar. That drug took the lymph nodes down for about two weeks and she had been feeling fine and acting normal until three days ago. They have been having a hard time getting the elspar but have found it at Diamondback Drugs a compounding veterinary pharmacy that has helped more than one of our SNDobies. We have ordered three doses and they will be administered every three weeks. She is very tired and acting like she has a cold. As you can imagine this medication is very expensive and Bella is only four years old and she needs our help again. Please, please... find it in your hearts to help SND support Miss Bella and Lindsey through this terrible ordeal! THANK YOU!

They didn't name her Bella for nothing!! Look at this beautiful face!

Poor Miss Bella! Attacked by lymphoma in her prime! Please help give this young DobeMiss a chance!!

Meet Miss Bella!! Bella is only three years old and has been diagnosed with lymphoma! Bella is owned by Lindsey and Gary who have had her since she was 5 weeks old. Lindsey and Gary are both very hard working young people who deeply care for this girl and want to do whatever it takes to save her life. When Lindsey noticed a lump in Bella's neck she took her to the vet who did a biopsy which came back inconclusive. They then sent her to a specialist who diagnosed the cancer. The cost of treatment with the specialist was just way more than these kids could handle.....then came along St. Francis Animal Hospital who is doing Bella's treatment at cost !! Truly Angels in white coats! Bella has had 6 weeks of treatment so far and is doing well, other than being a little tired and not able to make it up on moms bed ! She will have 26 weeks of treatment all together - 4 weeks on and 1 week off, so it isn't 26 weeks of continuous treatment. Beautiful Bella loves to eat, give high fives and beat up her brother! I just cannot imagine going through this with such a young dog!

There have been many Angels in Bella's life so far, but she needs a few more Angels to help her beat this terrible disease. Want to be an Angel for Bella? Do whatever you can to help Lindsey and Gary pay for her treatment! And you can do that by making a tax-deductible donation using the PayPal button below, or by mailing one in. And if you hear a bell ring after doing so....YOU GOT YOUR WINGS!!!! THANK YOU! No donation is too small - every little bit will help to help to try and save this beautiful DobeGirl’s life. All of us at SND thank you for any assistance you are able to provide.

Help Bella!
