Meet Bailey!

Bailey is an approximately 7 month old natural eared blue male in the care of
Gulf Coast
Doberman Rescue. They bailed him out of the SPCA in New Orleans, LA
on October 30th. He was neutered at the shelter on that day. His foster
mom noted swelling of the testicles and frank blood coming from his
incision. Kim Capella Gowland, director of GCDR advised her to ice him
and monitor his capillary refill status. He made it through the weekend
and went to Magazine Street Animal Clinic on November 3. His pac cell
volume was 32% (normal level is 35 and up). He required a plasma
transfusion. They are running a vWD titre to see how affected he is. Hopefully
one transfusion will hold him, but if he still does not clot it will be
more. His scrotum and rear legs had hematomas. Dr. Teresa said that she
would clean him up and he would just continue to drip.
Bailey needs your help to insure that he receives all the medical care that he
needs, in order to be placed up for adoption, and find the happy home he deserves.
