Angel II

Angel is a beautiful red 4 year old Doberman in South Carolina. Hers is an interesting story. She was first rescued by Tony Murray in Charleston, from an abusive home, where the now 70 lb. Dobe weighed 40 lbs. because of malnutrition and a severe infestation of intestinal parasites! Tony worked to bring Angel back to health, spending over $800 in vet bills on numerous health issues, but reached a stopping point when Angel was diagnosed with Wobblers. He learned about SND and contacted us for help. Unfortunately, the vets in his area were less than sympathetic to Angel's plight, and we were having a hard time finding someone qualified to treat her that was willing to work with us. We had nearly settled on a place for treatment when we received a call from Tony. His living situation had changed, forcing him to move in with his mother. He could no longer keep Angel, and asked us to find her a good home.

We contacted Doris Ray, in Columbia, and asked her is she would consider taking Angel in. Doris agreed, and on 1/31/04, Angel made her way to Columbia. Doris reports that Angel "stumbles all over herself" and says that you can see from her facial expression that she is constantly in pain. Doris will be taking Angel to Dr. Keller at Surgical Referral for a confirmation on Angel's diagnosis. and schedule the surgery she needs to restore her to good health, and pain-free living.

If you would like to help this sweet girl with her surgery and recovery, you can mail us a donation or use the PayPal button below. We thank you for any help that you can offer - every penny counts!
