Alex

Alex is a handsome 1 ˝ - 2 year old male in the care of Doberman Rescue Group (currently being fostered in Texas). Alex has always been a picky eater since he was rescued. Then he started peeing in his crate . Numerous tests were run, since at first he was thought to have copper toxicity, but that has been ruled out. He had his exploratory surgery and biopsy which revealed that he has lesions on his liver, the cause of which has not been determined. But it may possibly be linked to Rimadyl use or a Pro-heart 6 shot that he may have had prior to coming to DRG. ( He has never been on Rymadyl or had the dreaded Proheart6 injection since he has been with DRG.) At any rate, his bills are continuing to mount and DRG is running short of funds to continue to fight for Alex’s life. The vets still have not determined the source of the problem but are continuing to investigate. They have taken him off of all medications thinking that one of them may be contributing to the problem.
